I am currently not working explicitely on Hans Blumenberg (although here in Kiel he is widely recepted), but I definitely see great potential there for perspective on performative aspects of philosophy (esp. Arbeit am Mythos) and the notion of "theatricality". Do you know the text "Trauerarbeit im Welttheater" (by Matala de Mazza, Ethel: In: Gerhard Neumann, Caroline Pross und Gerald Wildgruber (Hrsg.): Szenographien. Theatralität als Kategorie der Literaturwissenschaft. Freiburg 2000)? This could add some interesting perspectives to the topic.
