Phänomenologie und Praxistheorie - Eine Verhältnisbestimmung
Institution: FernUniversität in Hagen, Projekt: „Praktische Körper“, Institut für Philosophie
Location: Hagen
Date: 5.-7.9.2016
On behalf the project „practical bodies“ at the Institute of Philosophy we would like to invite you to the conference „Phänomenologie und Praxistheorie – Eine Verhältnisbestimmung“, which will be held from the 5th to the 7th of September 2016 at the University of Hagen-
The Conference will focus on an approach of both disciplines resp. research areas, phenomenology and practice theory. The practice turn in the social and cultural sciences since the middle of the 20th century constitutes a transformation of the theoretical access to descriptions of the social, which is rooted in a departure from dualistic theories. With its focus on the implicit logic of practice, an orientation along repetition and shifting in social practices and the corporeity and materiality of practices, practice theories and similar approaches and concepts in phenomenology, e.g. the concept of embodiment, the focus on experiences and its performance as well as its ruptures, this theoretical and conceptual nearness opens doors to new and enriching possibilities of research.
Speakers will be: Ted Schatzki, Thomas Bedorf, Thomas Alkemeyer, Jo-Jo Koo, Robert Schmidt, Jens Bonnemann and many more.
Organisation: Thomas Bedorf, Selin Gerlek, Dennis Clausen
