Can we submit chapters to the edited collection or are you thinking on working on a second project? I have been working on looking at Psychoanalysis and cultural studies through performance and theater, which seems to be Zizek's route as well, especially considering the effects of repressive practices in South America.

It is great to join this group. As an artist and scholar, I question what we can do socially and politically that can both challenge and activate. Zizek's writing and talks, especially his sense of humor, psychoanalytical bravery and historical clarity, have provided landmarks when trying live and make living and art in US  (or for that matter post-war, quasi orthodox Serbia) as an artist and left-wing immigrant (I do prefer to forget I am also a woman, and  tend to appear as one). Right now I am a Phd student.

Thanks, Peter, for sharing this. The incident (21 min) and especially JL's reaction to it is crucial to Zizek's political understanding of Lacan. With his reply to the intruder, Lacan elaborates on the precise moment when l'autre discours (the/an other discourse) becomes le discours de l'autre (the discourse of the other). This is crucial for Zizek's understanding of ideology and its psychoanalytic dimension.
