I investigate the possibilities of bodily/corporeal approaches to different philosophical theories - these are mainly phenomenological but also anthropological, political and discourse analytical.
For this I aim to create frames, in which a deepening, questioning and oscillation of specific theoretical input is facilitated through the work and play with dance, movement, presence tools and improvisation scores.
The proper format for this particular exploration seems to me not to be a performative lecture (as much as I love this format), but rather a workshop/seminar setting, where a common research-frame is created through the liaison of physical experience and intellectual thought.
The workshops I have created so far have all been under the title "Daseins- und Begegnungs-Improvisation", based on different sections of the works of Edmund Husserl, Maurice Merleau-Ponty, Helmuth Plessner, Iris Marion Young and Thomas Fuchs.
