It is a series of video/performance works that use the division of labor model in capitalism as a structural tool for performance.

From his website:

The Division of labour work explores…

Dear Yana,

I'm so sorry to be replying so late -- I didn't see your message until today! We would be delighted for you to join the group. I'll send you an invite right away.

Best,

Anna

That sounds fascinating. I'm not all that familiar with exilic philosophy, except Heidegger's various considerations of 'homecoming through otherness". One of my research areas is the phenomenology of international development, central to which, as I see it, is the concept of the 'other', and also an aspect of socio-economic 'exile' in its origin in colonialism. (And, perhaps, and maybe more significantly, an aspect of environmental 'exile', although I haven't thought this through fully, yet.)

But I'm probably using 'exile' in a rather different sense.

Hi Yana,

Thanks for your message. I actually work as a consultant, so am not affiliated with any university. However, I have an ongoing connection with Carleton University, both as an alumnus and also because my wife is doing her Ph.D. there right now.

What brought you to this group? I found out about it through one of the philosophy listservs I subscribe to.

Kind regards,

Michael
