Theater as act of philosophy - through practice (stage texts/directing/teaching) and more traditional theoretical writing. My practice as research PhD from UK was 'Apocryphal Theatre: practicing philosophies' Am now teaching writing at Fordham. Am currently editing Stefan Brecht's (copious amount of) writing about Richard Foreman into a book that is to be published by Methuen in 2014. Because of Foreman's interest in philosophy and Brecht's PhD in same, this study will be an excellent addition to the Performance Philosophy field. Also developing a new performance/research project inspired by William James' 'Varieties of Religious Experience' working with sacred & secular presence as relates to grieving, loss and transformation.
