Brown Performance and Philosophy Group

This working group is based at Brown University and explores the multiple facets of the relationship between philosophy, theatre, and performance. Themes currently under investigation include: philosophy and performance behavior; ontology and phenomenology; performance, politics, and the market; performance and pathology; philosophy and mise en scene; philosophy and film; (thought) experiments and performance; Wittgenstein; Husserl; Descartes and the post-Cartesian.
