Texts

All members are invited to submit texts to this area of the website.

If you have an entry or new category you wish to submit to the Performance Philosophy bibliography below, please do so via the appropriate thread in the form.

This bibliography is very much a collective work in progress to which all members are invited to contribute. As it stands it is clearly very partial and largely limited to Anglophone texts. Please support the development of the bibliography as a resource for our field by proposing new entries and/or new categories for entries via the forum.

The Phenomenology and Performance list is wildly out of date (as the others are, I'm sure). Can this bibliography be opened to updating?

Hello. I would like to suggest under a new category a few books out of many. The category is: OBJECT AND PERFORMANCE.
The following authors invert the longstanding study of how people make things by asking also how things make people, and how things can be understood as having agency of their own. Gibson's Theory of Affordances, Gell's social life of things, Latour's object agency and objects as actants in a Parliament of Things, Barad's Agential realism, Haraway's cyborg, Bennett's Thing-power, all investigate our performative interaction and coupling with objects and have been inspiring for artists.
