Jung,Dreams And Performance

WE ALL HAVE THE SAME DREAM

Could we all be having the same dream? The famous psychoanalyst Jung answered yes to this question, describing the collective unconscious as human psychic accumulation.

In the years just before World War I broke out, portrayals of apocalypse were common in European art and literature. Wasily Kandinsky wrote in 1912 on universal disaster. Between 1912 and 1914, Ludwig Meidner painted a series of paintings known as apocalyptic landscapes with ruined cities, corpses and confusion scenes. In 1899, the famous American psychic Leonora Piper predicted that there would be a great war in the next century, and revealed the facts of spiritualism. Today, we are faced with a system that has come to the point of not being able to survive any longer, especially the climate crisis, wars and the Corona Outbreak. What can our dreams tell us in these days when we cannot even come together? Do you remember the last dream you had? What did it feel to you? Was it a colorful dream? Or is it monochrome? So what is the common dream of this age? You can also contribute to the answer by sharing your dream.

Who knows, maybe if we can change dreams, as Jodorowsky says, we can change reality.
The aim of this project is to re-interpret it with different art disciplines by creating a dream archive, revealing what Jung's concept of "collective unconscious" corresponds to today.
